COAAL is being set up to make courses in Australian Aboriginal Languages available to all. A brief overview of Australian Aboriginal languages is given in The Australian Aboriginal Language Family Parts 1 & 2. Courses in Pitjantjatjara, Gupapuyngu and Warlpiri and others will be added in time.

There are many good reasons to learn a language: Increase your IQ, broaden your outlook, build your self esteem, understand your own language better and of course to learn about and communicate with people. We hope COAAL can help you to learn more about Australian Aboriginal languages.

How many Australian Aboriginal languages where there when Europeans arrived?
How many are there today?
Where are they spoken?
Are they related?
What are they like?

For the answers see slide show part 1
